How Travelan Works

Travelan’s specific antibodies neutralize E.coli (ETEC) bacteria, which can be found in food and water in less developed countries.

Using patented technology, Travelan works against the E.coli (ETEC) bacteria as they enter the body from food or water. Travelan’s antibodies bind to the E.coli bacteria, inhibiting attachment to the intestinal wall. Travelan neutralizes the ETEC bacteria rather than having to treat symptoms after attacks has begun. Travelan has been clinically tested to reduce the risk of E. coli (ETEC) attacks.

In controlled, double-blind clinical trials conducted in Europe and the U.S, Travelan reduced the instances of E.coli (ETEC) attaching to the intestinal wall in  up to 93% of volunteers.²*

The trials also showed that the few people who received Travelan but were still affected by the E.coli had less discomfort compared to those who did not receive Travelan².  

How Do I Use Travelan?

Travelan is designed to be taken before every meal.

Directions for use:

• Adults and children 6 years old and over
  
  
• Begin taking Travelan at least one day before your trip and continue through the duration of your trip and at least one day after your trip.
  
  
• Take one caplet before each meal
  
  
• Additional caplets may be taken when increased coverage is desired, such as when snacking between meals.

Travelan should be used as an adjunct to normal travel hygiene practices. Travelers should wash their hands with soap and water before meals and take care in selecting food and beverages for consumption.
